Bose Professional introduces the new EdgeMax™ in-ceiling premium loudspeakers featuring Bose PhaseGuide technology.

PhaseGuide technology combines coverage patterns typical of larger surface-mount speakers with the architect-preferred aesthetics of in-ceiling speaker models, to create a unique asymmetrical vertical pattern for high-frequency, room-filling sound. Designed for perimeter mounting near wall-ceiling boundaries, the EdgeMax speakers provide high-quality audio and coverage in rooms up to 65 feet (20 m) wide with a reduction in the number of required speakers. Eliminating the need for centered or wall-mounted speakers means the EdgeMax loudspeakers are ideal for retail stores, restaurants, hospitality venues, hotels, meeting rooms and architectural custom sound design applications. High intelligibility and a full-frequency response make these loudspeakers perfect for speech and music playback.

Bose EdgeMax in-ceiling loudspeakers are available in two horizontal coverage pattern models – EM90 and EM180. The EM90 model provides nominal 90° coverage, while the EM180 provides nominal 180° coverage. Both EdgeMax models feature a 2-way system that combines a 1.3"-diaphragm compression driver with an 8" woofer, as well as passive crossover with 8 Ω or 70/100V transformer taps.

Both the EM90 and EM180 models include white magnet grilles that allow for easy access to wiring and tap settings, as well as new auto-hold, spring-loaded mounting arms for fast and simple installations to save integrators time. They are also UL1480 listing for air-handling (plenum) space installation.

EdgeMax in-ceiling loudspeakerswill be previewed at the Infocomm 2017 trade-show. Please feel free to contact us for more details on the future release.
