The Vector 2 x 2 Lay-In Ceiling Speaker employs (3 smaller 6.5”) very fast transient response aluminum-woofer drivers that are very powerful and stable. Working in unison these drivers produce clean powerful dynamic sound. When designing the Vector the goal was to have the single most import feature at the forefront, good transient response ("dynamic contrast"). A transient is a sound of short duration, and good transient response can only be achieved if the speaker can deliver its output quickly and cleanly without smearing the original sound, and be completely soundless immediately after. Transients contain the essentials of sound reproduction they provide the sharp pop from a snare drum, the cutting edge of digital sound, the dynamics of the human voice. Larger 2-way cabinet loudspeaker systems offer relatively slow transient response, and the small high-frequency horn tends to beam a narrow, blaring sound at the listener—end result, muddy sound. By replacing larger speakers with four 6" drivers we increased the driver surface area while creating more punch and a tight, more focused low-end.

It provides 40W into a 70.7V/100V line and has three total inputs including a balanced mic/line input featuring phantom power and variable mute sensitivity control as well as two unbalanced, summing line level inputs. The AtlasIED TSD-GPN1200 sound masking generator is perfectly suited for basic sound masking systems. The analog topology design eliminates repeating cycles commonly found in other manufactures low cost digital designs.
The AtlasIED TSD-GPN1200 allows selection between pink or white noise sources and incorporates a variable balanced outputto match input requirements of AtlasIED equalizers and amplifiers. In addition to the line level output, a 4W, 70V output is provided to power up to six masking loudspeakers tapped at .5W each.
A variable hi-cut filter with operating range between 1kHz and 8kHz at a slope of 6dB per octave supports equalization requirements for most basic Sound Masking systems. Both outputs may be used simultaneously allowing large zones tobe addressed with external equalization and amplification while a smaller zone is powered by the internal 70.7V amplifierwith spectrum control provided by the on board hi-cut filter.
Unit requires Power Supply that is sold separately for proper function, multiple TSDs can be powered with one power supply based on current requirements. This unit has a power requirement of 250mA so any of the available TDS power supplies can be used with the unit.
