AVB and Beyond
AVB, or Audio Visual Bridging, launches the TesiraFORTÉ product line into the future. AVB is a set of standards used across industries, in addition to the world of A/V. For A/V, AVB increases the capacity to exchange information in a system. This allows for synchronized audio and video while conserving your bandwidth. In layman’s terms, AVB is a set of specs that help A/V equipment run faster and smarter.
TesiraFORTÉ’s AVB products come packed with sophisticated features you won’t find in a non-AVB model. For example, the platform features 128 x 128 network channels, compared to just 12 x 8 in the non-AVB model. With lower latency and more channel options, this family of products is a boon for high-quality audio and video.
Biamp TesiraFORTÉ AVB Features
Biamp’s TesiraFORTÉ family of digital signal processors offer several different models, which are all available with AVB. Each TesiraFORTÉ model is designed to address a different business challenge. TesiraFORTÉ provides more options and advanced features in today’s conferencing, telephony, and VoIP environments.
The TesiraFORTÉ AVB expands the TesiraFORTÉ family of products. Biamp’s Tesira platform comes loaded with both audio and visual processing in one software platform, saving you both time and sanity.
All Biamp TesiraFORTÉ models with AVB, except the AVB VT4, feature 12 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs. Users are also able to control these models with Ethernet control and an OLED display. It has up to 8 channels for USB audio, which lets the TesiraFORTÉ AVB interface with USB audio hosts.
The TesiraFORTÉ AVB can be used either as a standalone device, or combined with other TesiraFORTÉ AVB devices, like controllers, servers, and expanders. When you use an AVB, you can easily connect to other AVB products in your facility.
