The new Bose EdgeMax™ in-ceiling premium loudspeakers are here and they sound amazing!
Unique Technology and Design
The very talented team at Bose have managed to create a completely new and unique technology and design never seen before in the in-ceiling audio market. They have created a whole new category of in-ceiling speakers. Here at Pro Acoustics, we’ve had the unique opportunity of hearing them first hand. The Bose Professional EdgeMax™ in-ceiling premium loudspeakers feature proprietary Bose PhaseGuide ® technology with high-frequency compression drivers to combine the room-filling coverage patterns typical of larger surface-mount speakers with the architect-preferred aesthetics of in-ceiling models. Designed to mount near wall-ceiling boundaries, the EdgeMax™loudspeakers provide improved audio quality and coverage, while reducing the number of required units, compared to conventional dome-tweeter ceiling speakers.
The Bose EdgeMax™ in-ceiling loudspeakers are available in two nominal coverage pattern models – the EM90, with 90° horizontal coverage from room corners, and the EM180, with 180° horizontal coverage from center ceiling-wall locations. The Bose EM90 and EM180 loudspeakers are intended to sit as close to the wall as possible to achieve a great low end and very crisp and clean highs. The PhaseGuide® technology produces a unique asymmetrical vertical pattern that fills the room with a beautiful and wide sound that is evenly dispersed. The Bose EdgeMax™ speakers provide high-quality audio and coverage in rooms up to 65 feet (20 m) wide. For maximum coverage, they should be spaced approximately 30 feet apart and are ideal for ceilings up to 14 feet.
The Bose EdgeMax™ EM90 and EM180 in-ceiling speakers are a perfect solution for a multitude of applications ranging from small to large sized venues where putting speakers in the middle of the room is just not an option. Pro Acoustics’ Sales Engineers can custom design a Bose EdgeMax™ sound system to create a complete audio solution tailored to the needs of the individual customer. The magnetically attached grill allows for quick access to wiring and tap settings and the optional black colored grill makes it easy to match darker color interiors.
