Solid Durability

The Octasound speaker was born in the crucible of Canadian hockey arenas where cold, moisture and stray slap shots would quickly destroy a speaker that wasn't built to take the punishment. Specific models use a polyurethane elastomer finish similar to the bottoms of your work boot. The finish is applied inside the cabinet as well to protect against any moisture that causes normal painted finished cabinets to swell.

 The Octasound SP810A loudspeaker with 360º x 180º coverage is an octagonal shaped speaker containing one 10" low frequency driver with a 2" - 8 ohm voice coil and 34 ounce magnet. The speaker also encloses four high frequency 4.5" x 4.5" wide dispersion exponential compression horns & drivers with 1" voice coils, 1" throat diameter and a magnet weight of 10 ounces. The speaker sensitivity is 104 dB per watt per meter and contains a crossover point of 2 kHz ±15% complete with thermal protection and with an impedance of 8 ohms. This speaker is manufactured from ¾" wood composite and sealed with an industrial textured finish. The grill is made of plastic and is impact resistant. All exposed metal hardware is stainless steel or zinc plated. Four 1.25" eye nuts are provided for mounting. The complete speaker weighs a maximum of 44 lbs., with the following dimensions: top width 18 7/8", bottom width 13" and height 10" + 1.75" for mounting hardware.
