The ART Pro MPA III is a 2-channel multivoice tube microphone preamplifier featuring selectable 12AT7 tube or solid state voicing, discrete Class A FET preamps, variable microphone impedance, instrument DI inputs, and analog VU meters for professional recording and studio applications.

Description

ART Pro MPA III 2-Channel Multivoice Tube Microphone Preamplifier

The Pro MPA III is a versatile 2-channel multivoice microphone preamplifier that combines classic analog warmth with modern flexibility in a rugged 2U rackmount design. Each channel features discrete Class A FET microphone preamps with selectable 12AT7 tube or solid state voicing, allowing engineers to choose between rich tube character or clean, transparent performance. Designed to enhance the capabilities of mixers and audio interfaces, it accepts both XLR microphone and 1/4-inch instrument level inputs.

Each channel provides comprehensive control with variable input gain, microphone impedance, low cut filter, output level, 20 dB gain boost, phase reverse, and 48V phantom power. The Character switch enhances vocal intelligibility by improving low and high frequency response, while the expanded variable impedance range offers greater tonal flexibility when using dynamic and ribbon microphones. Instrument level DI inputs make the Pro MPA III equally capable for direct recording of guitars, basses, and keyboards.

The Pro MPA III also features balanced XLR and 1/4-inch outputs, selectable +4 dBu or -10 dBV operating levels, analog VU meters for precise monitoring, and a universal internal power supply. Built for professional studios, project studios, broadcast, and live recording environments, it delivers reliable analog performance with exceptional sonic versatility.
