This inexpensive commercial sound masking system greatly improves speech privacy in a number of applications such as churches, educational institutions, libraries, retail, banks and financial organizations, government agencies, hotel lobbies, and more. It not only protects sensitive information with high-quality speech privacy, but also creates a more pleasant acoustical environment by reducing the intelligibility of human speech. In addition to sound masking, this system is also capable of providing crisp, clear paging and background music.
The installer-friendly AtlasIED DT22 2' x 2' drop-in ceiling tile speaker provides clear paging and background music in a labor saving package. Ideal for use in shopping malls, department stores, and anywhere large quantities of loudspeakers are to be utilized. All-in-one, pre-assembled unit drops into ceiling grids to reduce installation time and costs, the solid white panel with punched speaker grille blends in with most acoustic ceiling tiles. Includes standard 8" speaker with built-in 25V / 70.7V Transformer UL1480 / UL2043.
Small and compact, and engineered for reliability, the AtlasIED MA40G amplifier is the perfect choice for distributed business paging and background music (BGM) systems, and small to medium speech privacy systems. It provides 40 W into a 70.7 V / 100 V line and has three total inputs including a balanced mic/line input featuring phantom power and variable mute sensitivity control as well as two unbalanced, summing line level inputs. Additional features include Removable Level Controls with set it and forget it security cover, contact closure mute terminals, and a global (100 VAC-240 VAC) power supply.
The TSD-GPN1200 generation 2 sound masking generator is perfectly suited for basic sound masking systems. Its DSP noise topology design eliminates repeating cycles commonly found in other manufacturers’ low-cost digital designs. The TSD-GPN1200 provides pink noise as a source and incorporates a variable balanced output to match the input requirements of AtlasIED amplifiers. Additionally, it features a variable hi-cut filter with an operating range between 2 kHz and 16 kHz at a slope of 6 dB per octave, supporting equalization requirements for most basic sound masking systems. The TSD-GPN1200 also includes a remote level control designed to be used with the optional AtlasIED Masking attenuator, the ATMASKSC which offers precise adjustments in 1dB increments.
