Bose S1 Pro Multi-Position Bluetooth PA System Features on Episode 6 of Pro Acoustics Tech Talk

This week on Pro Acoustics Tech Talk, Nathan and Coltin are talking all about the Bose S1 Pro Multi-Position Bluetooth PA System - all of its features, applications, and positioning options. Enjoy the video!

Hey guys, thanks for joining us for another edition of Pro Acoustics Tech Talk. I'm Nathan, I'm Coltin and we're here today to tell you all about the Bose S1 Pro and some of the fun applications and ways that you might be able to use this, to make sure that you know some of the great features of this little product.

We're really stressing putting these guys in some places that you really don't think of a too often. Of course, he's worked for your artists that have a backpack tracking round and singing, and this is perfect for that. But we also want to bring to your attention to where this guy can really fit very well. I’m talking about classroom situations where you know the teacher's tired of her voice going out and croaking and all that. This will really do the trick for you there. You know, you have a fitness studio as well, a smaller yoga studio. We've been putting this guy in there and in conference rooms, you know, meeting rooms, that type of deal where you just need something simple, easy to use, easy to put up, mount, hang, all of the above.

So very versatile speaker. Kind of go over with me the features and what makes this guy unique in the marketplace.

Yeah, sure. So basically, this is the Bose S1 Pro. It features several of Bose’s smaller proprietary drivers in the center. So, you get really nice vocals and mid-range, as well as a nice, crisp, full sound. You've got three inputs. Two of those are mic or line level inputs. And it does have presets for Bose’s tone match system. That's their proprietary mixer presets for vocal mics. There’s also an input for an acoustic guitar, given that these can be used very easily for singer/songwriter performances. Also, there is a built-in battery on this guy, with 11 hours of play time so it can stay away from the power cable for a very long time. It also has built-in Bluetooth and a built-in auxiliary port. Like Coltin mentioned, very easy to stream to wirelessly for Bluetooth, a compact size, has the battery - 11 hours can easily get you through a school day or through a series of meetings if you're a presenter, an auctioneer or anything like that. This guy is not very heavy, 16 pounds total net weight, so easily fits in the back of an SUV. The nameplate actually does rotate if you find that you want it to be mounted horizontally, that can sit on a media cart or a rolling cabinet or anything like that in an educational environment. It also does have the pole cup on the bottom, so that you can mount that on a pole. There it is. So, it can easily sit there.

And then a variety of input combinations as well as there is a power cable for charging - charging time on that is five hours. But there is a quick charge mode if you find yourself in a pinch, it can be done about three hours. There is a line level output so you can feed the S1 to a bigger brother speaker, a conventional powered speaker. Use it as a floor monitor or you can connect it to an L1 or an F1 or anything else that you might need. Take a recording line level output, anything like that. We’ve got some options here as far as mounting. Like I mentioned, there is a poll cup on the bottom, so that means you can use small or large tripod stands, crank up stands. It does have feet, so you can set it up vertically just like this or set it sideways, you know, horizontally wall mount brackets for more permanent type installations.

Very light, compact, easy to use. You know, you're not going to be flipping through pages of a manual to try and figure out how to make this thing work for you, which means you can get down to using it quickly. Built-in reverb on the inputs one and two, so for the singer/songwriter type, or singing to backing tracks. Then you've got separate level controls for inputs one, two and three for your separate mic inputs as well as for your auxiliary input or Bluetooth. Yeah, very, very unique in its own right on the marketplace. And you need a snag you one, you know, asap. You know we love this guy and have been using it in our offices here. And it really delivers. You know, for being so compact, it really delivers a huge sound.

We really want to stress that and get it in your place.
