In-Depth Look at the DSP Inside Dynacord C-Series Amplifiers on Pro Acoustics Tech Talk Episode 24
On this week’s episode of Pro Acoustics Tech Talk, Ron Grant with Bosch Communications is hanging out with Nathan to take an in-depth look into the DSP inside the Dynacord C-Series Amplifiers. Ron is showing us how to use the DSP to create a virtual sound system using the C-Series amplifiers.
Hey everybody. Nathan from Pro Acoustics here again. Coming to you from our Salado, Texas warehouse. I'm here with Ron Grant again from Bosch Communications. He's showing us a little bit more in-depth look at the DSP inside of the Dynacord C-series amplifiers.
So, tell me, Ron, what we’re looking at. Okay, so I just wanted to show you some of the neat features of the DSP. It takes about five, 10 minutes for that. I've created a virtual sound system. I've got a master that I can control, the tops and the subs. I've got our foyer unit for now to show, but, in this, I've got metering input and output metering. But what's really nice about this, well, and also, I could put graphic EQ and parametric EQ on the different channels. But what's really unique at this price point about this product is the supervision. So, I've got lights to let me know. Hey, I'm talking to my amplifiers. They're online. I've got input metering. I've got output metering. I'm showing that my, you know, foyer or my little pendants speaker over there is muted. And I also show, okay, I've got speaker presets plugged in. But what's nice is I'm actually getting impedance readings back from those speakers in real-time, in real-time.
So, what's nice is if a speaker were to become detached - you want to pull one, you got it- I'm going to get a red light and it's going to show an open. So, what's nice is from a contractor is if he’s trying to troubleshoot a system or he's setting the system up and all of a sudden, he's not hearing the speaker, he can look here and go, Oh, Hey, wait a minute. I've got a short on this line that speaker's not either hooked up at the speaker or at the amplifier, or there's something in between that got the line open. Got open impedance, just pop it back in and we're good. We're back and back. So, like I said, at this price point, this entry-level amplifier is very robust tool for a contractor to not only install and you know, EQ a system before he hands it over to the end-user, let’s him troubleshoot it for any problem. Awesome, awesome. And very simple to use. I've watched you do it. Yeah. Just in a few minutes, but can save a lot of time out in the field. Absolutely. Awesome. Awesome.
