La Fuente Mexican Restaurants has been a staple in Middle Tennessee and Alabama since 2000, known for bringing the vibrant flavors and décor of Guadalajara, Mexico, to their six locations. Founded by Roger Cowell and his wife, the couple’s vision was clear from the beginning- to offer a dining experience that immerses guests in the culture of Mexico, from authentic dishes to thoughtfully curated décor featuring handcrafted wood, pottery, and artwork.
However, achieving an atmosphere that matched their vision extended beyond visuals. Over the years, Roger, with a background in industrial and mechanical engineering, experimented with various sound systems to create the right ambiance. Early attempts included car speakers and basic setups, which became difficult to maintain. Recognizing the need for a reliable restaurant background music system, he began searching for a professional-grade solution to streamline operations and improve sound quality.
Working with Pro Acoustics
In 2016, Roger’s search for a dependable restaurant music system led him to Pro Acoustics and sales engineer, Nathan Turner. Without expertise in audio components, Roger provided a layout of his restaurant and outlined his expectations for how the system should function. Nathan designed a custom music system for his restaurant tailored to meet these needs, featuring Bose commercial ceiling speakers, 70-volt surface mount speakers, and a Bose multi-zone amplifier.
The installation process was straightforward, and the new Bose speakers for the restaurant consistently delivered crystal-clear sound. Operating an impressive 11 hours a day, 363 days a year, the restaurant music system has performed flawlessly, allowing Roger to focus on other aspects of the business without worrying about maintenance or sound inconsistencies.
