The CSD2X2U-V2 drop-in ceiling speaker is a robust and adaptable audio solution for IP network designs and sound systems like Bogen Nyquist. Built with durable industrial-grade steel, this ceiling speaker ensures reliability in any environment.
Featuring an 8" loudspeaker with a treated paper main cone, secondary high-frequency cone, and a 10-ounce magnet, the CSD2X2U-V2 delivers clear and balanced audio. The 70V/25V transformer offers power taps at 4, 2, 1, 0.5, and 0.25 watts, selectable via a rotary switch, providing flexibility for different audio needs. Alternatively, you can bypass the transformer for 8-ohm operation.
With a minimum 94 dB output at 1 watt/1 meter and a frequency response of 95 Hz to 20 kHz, this speaker ensures quality sound reproduction. It includes a purpose-built mounting plate that seamlessly integrates with optional Nyquist GA series VoIP PoE integrated amplifiers, transforming it into a Voice over IP (VoIP) loudspeaker.
For added functionality, the optional NQ-GA10P(V) VoIP intercom module enables half-duplex intercom capability. Adding the optional NQ-GAXMR1 impedance matching audio transformer allows the GA-series amplifiers to power additional CSD2X2U-V2 speakers or other 70V/25V speakers.
Designed for easy installation, this speaker fits into 2' x 2' and 2' x 4' ceiling tiles. No additional support rail is needed for 2' x 2' installations, making the setup straightforward. For 2' x 4' installations, only a single cut to the ceiling tile is required, and an included support rail ensures secure placement.
With a non-reflective, bright white metal finish grille, the CSD2X2U-V2 blends seamlessly with any decor. It meets UL Standard 1480 for U.S. use and includes four seismic attachment points for added security.

- Easy to convert into a Nyquist passive IP speaker or IP intercom speaker. Increase designer and end user options for choice of intercom style and location with the addition of a Nyquist GA10P(V) and optional call switch
- Convert the speaker into a 25V/70V audio amplifier source and speaker combo unit. Now audio designers have a combination unit that functions as both an IP speaker and 25V/70V amplifier, from which multiple 25V/70V speakers can be daisy-chained to increase audio coverage. (Requires optional Nyquist GA-series amplifier and an NQ-GAXMR1 distributed audio transformer.)
