The DS1398B is a purpose-built ceiling loudspeaker engineered for sound masking and paging in modern office and commercial environments. Unlike under-floor models, the DS1398B is supplied with a tile bridge mount, making it immediately ready for secure installation in ceiling plenums and other overhead spaces.

Its dual, horizontally opposed drivers with tuned ports are designed to deliver smooth and uniform 360-degree audio coverage, eliminating gaps and ensuring consistent masking performance across open environments. The integrated 70V transformer with selectable power taps provides seamless compatibility with distributed audio systems.

With its low-profile enclosure, the DS1398B can fit in cavities as shallow as 1.75 inches, while still delivering powerful and evenly dispersed sound. Certified to UL 1480, UL 2043, and CSA standards, the DS1398B is rated for use in air-handling plenums, ensuring both safety and reliability.
