Assistive Listening System (ALSs) Packages by Williams Sound, Listen Technologies, Sennheiser, Anchor Audio and many more world class brands provide easy to use wireless assisted listening enhancement devices for the hard-of-hearing or anyone who wants to hear better, louder and greatly improve the intelligibility of information. Portable and fixed installation listening systems offer mobility and flexibility when used with portable body-worn wireless transmitters and head-set microphones. ADA Wireless Systems that aid with hearing in loud or noisy environments, or allow a speech or presentation to be translated to another language and broadcast to listeners, are ideal for meeting rooms, houses of worship, movie theaters, schools, auditoriums, performance events, public hearing rooms, and more. Most systems are compliant with The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that requires public facilities to provide equal access to people with disabilities, including those who are hard-of-hearing. Wide area ALSs are covered under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This title stipulates that ALSs be provided in public places. The ADA also specifies that ALS receivers be provided at no cost and specifies the number of receivers that must be provided depending on the number of seats (4% rule).
