Community's DS5 5 inch two way surface mount speaker is a low profile, compact artfully styled enclosure with dynamic sound quality and excellent intelligibility. This full-range model provides high power handling, high sensitivity, and exceptional speech clarity.
The 5-inch, full-range DS5 is a two-way compact system, ideal for installations where space is a premium. Easily outperforming loudspeakers of a larger size format, the DS5 is ideal for both music and speech applications. The DS5 is equipped with a built-in autoformer, with a convenient front-accessible power tap switch hidden behind the rotatable logo. For durability and improved sonic quality, the cabinet features thick-wall, internally-reinforced high impact ABS construction with rounded surfaces that greatly reduce the acoustic resonances common in flat-sided cabinets. The paintable exterior features a zinc-rich epoxy dual-layer powder-coated grille and mounting bracket, stainless steel hardware and an included IP56 wiring cover, making it equally suited for indoor or outdoor direct exposure applications.
Installation is simple and flexible using the included Infin-A-Ball™ multi-angle wall mounting bracket which allows low profile mounting and precise positioning of the enclosure over a broad tilt-swivel range. In addition, the integrated concealed wiring system produces a “clean-looking” and aesthetically appealing installation by hiding the wiring to the loudspeaker inside the arm of the bracket. An optional wall mount plate may be ordered from Community when specified by local building and safety codes.
