This sound masking speaker system enhances speech confidentiality and customer security by adding a low-level background sound engineered to reduce speech intelligibility. It creates a more acoustically comfortable environment while protecting private conversations. This system includes six SP8 2 x 2 drop tile ceiling speakers, each covering approximately 20' x 20' (400 sq. ft.) with a slim 3.9" (100 mm) mounting depth, making them ideal for spaces with limited ceiling clearance. Powering the system, the MA60BT mixer amplifier features Bluetooth streaming, a built-in MP3 player, and multiple input options, allowing for seamless integration of background music and paging. The SMG1 sound masking generator provides pink, brown, and white noise for effective speech privacy and noise control.

About the System Components

Pure Resonance Audio SP8 SoundPlane 8" 2x2 Low-Profile Ceiling Tile Speakers

The Pure Resonance Audio SP8 SoundPlane is a full-range ceiling tile speaker designed to drop into a 2'x2' suspended grid ceiling without having to cut holes or modify ceiling tiles. This offers a fast, easy, and cost-effective solution that saves installation time, effort, and expenses. A built-in adjustable 70V 10-watt transformer is conveniently accessible and located on the side of the rear back-box. The 2x2 drop-in ceiling speaker contains a full-range 8" treated paper main cone driver, a secondary high frequency cone, with a 10 ounce magnet. The fully enclosed back-can is constructed of industrial-grade steel. The solid white panel with a perforated speaker grille seamlessly blends with the decor in most acoustic drop ceiling tiles. Built-in seismic safety strap tabs are integrated on the steel back-can for suspension mounting from ceiling points (consult your architect or engineer before installing).

Pure Resonance Audio MA60BT Mixer Amplifier

The 7-channel MA60BT mixer-amplifier features a built-in 70V/100V transformer technology that provides a simple to operate and reliable 6-input solution with a built-in Bluetooth media player for installation in commercial applications. Balanced and unbalanced inputs 70 Volt, 100 Volt, 8 ohm or 4 ohm outputs, compact size and interface are all combined to make this mixer-amp an easy choice for any application in need of background music and general announcements.

Due to the possibilities of FM radio interference and the variables involved, it's not recommended to use FM radio as your primary input source.
