Listen Tech LS-30-072 iDSP Essentials Starter Stationary RF System (72 MHz)
Usually arrives in 5-9 business days.
The Listen Technologies LS-31-072 is a complete, ready-to-deploy assistive listening system built for venues that need real coverage without a custom-engineered budget. Everything required to get a compliant system on the air ships in one box: the transmitter, a remote-mountable antenna, a rack kit, four receivers, listening accessories, charging hardware, and the notification signage most inspectors expect to see posted.
At the head end is the LT-803-072-01 Stationary 3-Channel RF Transmitter, broadcasting on one of three 72 MHz channels — A (72.100 MHz), E (72.900 MHz), or H (75.900 MHz). Paired with the included LA-122 Universal Antenna Kit, the transmitter delivers line-of-sight coverage up to 305 meters (1,000 feet), enough to blanket a sanctuary, auditorium, courtroom, lecture hall, or multipurpose room from a single rack position. Selectable low, mid, and high RF output lets you dial power down in smaller rooms or tighter RF environments, and channel lock prevents staff from bumping the system off frequency between events.
Two independent, mixable inputs make integration straightforward. Input 1 is a balanced XLR/¼-inch combo jack with switchable line or mic sensitivity and +12 VDC phantom power for condenser mics. Input 2 accepts unbalanced RCA at -10 or +10 dBu — ideal for a mixer aux send, a media player, or a DSP output. Onboard compression, adjustable input and mix levels, and a contour control for shaping content above 5 kHz let you optimize speech intelligibility without touching the house system. The Look & Listen LCD reports channel, lock status, and RF power at a glance, and a front-panel headphone jack lets you monitor exactly what listeners hear.
The four included LR-3200-072 receivers are part of Listen's Intelligent DSP line — the most compact receivers in their class at 3.75 x 2.00 x 0.64 in. and just 2.4 oz. with battery. Digital tuning means they lock to channel and stay there; no drift, no mid-service retune. System signal-to-noise reaches 70 dB with ListenSQ noise reduction off and 80 dB with it enabled, over a 50 Hz – 15 kHz (±3 dB) response, with under 1% THD.
Each receiver runs a full 24 hours of continuous use on its field-replaceable 1200 mAh lithium-ion battery and recharges in 2.5 hours via micro USB — the included LA-423-01 4-Port USB Charger tops off the whole set overnight. Dual 3.5 mm outputs allow two listeners to share one receiver, and the micro USB port works with Listen's free iDSP Software Suite for setup, programming, firmware updates, and inventory tracking across your fleet.
Two LA-430 Intelligent Ear Phone/Neck Loop Lanyards are included for patrons with T-coil-equipped hearing aids or cochlear implants, driven by the receiver's onboard DSP loop driver for cleaner induction audio than a passive loop. Four LA-401 Universal Ear Speakers serve everyone else. Under the 2010 ADA Standards, assembly areas seating 51–200 require two receivers plus one for every 25 seats over 50, with at least 25 percent hearing-aid compatible — the LS-31-072's four receivers and two neck loops meet the receiver count for spaces up to roughly 100 seats and exceed the neck loop minimum. Confirm your seat count against the current standard, and add receivers as needed.
The included LA-326 Universal Rack Mounting Kit puts the half-rack transmitter into a single rack space — or mount two transmitters side by side in the same space if you later add a second language or audio feed. Up to three LT-803 transmitters can operate in one room on the three available channels. The receiver count scales without limit: add LR-3200-072 units as attendance grows, since any number of receivers can tune to the same broadcast.
Houses of worship, courtrooms, school and university lecture halls, corporate auditoriums, theaters and performing arts venues, civic and government meeting chambers, conference centers, and large training rooms
