Listen Tech LWS-16B-W1-D 2-Channel Wi-Fi Assistive Listening System with Dante
The LWS-16B-W1-D is a comprehensive two-channel ListenWIFI assistive listening system with Dante audio connectivity, designed for houses of worship, theaters, classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and other public venues. The system combines an LW-170-02 ListenWIFI Dante audio server with sixteen LWR-1050 Wi-Fi audio receivers, sixteen stereo headphones, four advanced neck loops, a sixteen-unit docking station, hearing assistance signage, breakaway lanyards, and a rack-mounting kit. Using the venue's existing Wi-Fi network, ListenWIFI streams audio directly to compatible smartphones and tablets through the free ListenWIFI mobile app or to the included dedicated receivers, providing flexible listening options for guests who need additional audio assistance.
The LW-170-02 audio server accepts Dante digital audio and supports two mono audio channels or one stereo channel. Each server accommodates up to 500 listening devices with properly configured network infrastructure, while additional servers can expand system capacity and channel availability. The server connects through Ethernet and distributes audio over an existing 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network using compatible wireless access points. The system delivers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and published latency of approximately 40 to 60 milliseconds, depending on network conditions and connected devices.
The sixteen included LWR-1050 Wi-Fi audio receivers provide dedicated assistive listening devices for guests who prefer not to use personal smartphones or who require venue-provided equipment. Each receiver features a rechargeable, field-replaceable lithium-ion battery with up to seven hours of continuous audio streaming, an OLED display, accessible channel and volume controls, and a 3.5 mm headphone connection. Sixteen LA-165 stereo headphones are included for personal listening, while four LA-438 advanced neck loops deliver inductive audio to compatible hearing aids and cochlear implants equipped with telecoils. The LA-480 sixteen-unit docking station conveniently charges, stores, and programs all sixteen receivers between uses.
ListenWIFI Manager for Windows provides centralized system configuration and management, including server settings, receiver profiles, firmware updates, and mobile app customization. Facilities can personalize the ListenWIFI mobile app with welcome messages, channel names, images, branding, and other venue information. QR code channel access simplifies listening for smartphone users, while optional LA-490 Listen Beacons enable automatic channel selection based on a listener's location. Public address override allows designated announcements to interrupt the selected listening channel and reach connected ListenWIFI listeners. The included LW-327 rack mount supports installation of the audio server in a standard 19" equipment rack, while the LW-307 hearing assistance signage informs visitors that assistive listening is available.
Installation Note: This system requires an existing, properly configured Wi-Fi network with compatible wireless access points supporting 802.11n or newer and WMM enabled. Network switches, wireless access points, and other network infrastructure are not included. The server supports up to 500 listening devices, although actual capacity and coverage depend on network configuration, wireless coverage, and available bandwidth. Optional LA-490 beacons are required for location-based automatic channel selection. Assistive listening compliance requirements vary by venue and seating capacity, and additional receivers or neck loops may be required.
