The Shure ADX2FD/B87C handheld transmitter combines the renowned Beta®87C condenser capsule with the advanced capabilities of Axient® Digital wireless technology, delivering world-class sound and unmatched RF stability for professional performances and productions.
Like all ADX transmitters, the ADX2FD/B87C features wide tuning up to 184 MHz, interference protection, advanced rechargeability, a streamlined design, and full ShowLink® remote control for real-time adjustments directly from the booth. Built to withstand the rigors of touring and live events, its durable, lightweight, and moisture-resistant metal housing ensures reliability in the most demanding environments.
With its Frequency Diversity (FD) mode, the ADX2FD/B87C transmits on two discrete RF carriers simultaneously, ensuring rock-solid audio stability even in the most challenging RF conditions. An optional 50mW High Power mode is also available for extended range and signal strength on a single frequency.
Power options include up to 6.5 hours of runtime when transmitting on dual RF carriers with the SB920A rechargeable battery, or up to 9 hours when transmitting on a single carrier. The unit supports convenient docked charging with external contacts and an optional fully covered radome.
The ADX2FD/B87C also features two transmission modes: Standard for optimal coverage, and High Density mode to maximize channel count without compromising signal quality. Encryption-enabled transmission ensures secure, interference-free audio, making it a trusted choice for high-profile events.
The Beta®87C capsule delivers smooth, studio-quality vocal reproduction with a tailored frequency response that’s ideal for stage use. Its cardioid polar pattern provides excellent off-axis rejection and feedback resistance, making it a favorite for both lead and background vocals.
