Power Mute is an active Cough Drop, providing all the functions of the Short Stops momentary mute and the Sign Offs latching On/Off switching functions. In addition, it will also function as a momentary "Push to Talk" muting device. The Power Mute also provides a bi-color live/mute status indicator. When light is green, microphone is always "on"; when light is red, microphone is always "off".The Power Mutes functions are controlled by pre-selectable dip switches found inside the unit's battery cover. Unit can be run on batteries or provided power supply.
With 40 db of attenuation, The Power Mute will adequately mute the microphone signal in most 600 ohm line impedance professional audio systems.
