- Fulfilled my difficult needs, but is a sound-quality overkill for public address.
- These worked great for in-wall "old work" installation, where the interior of the wall is not accessible. I'd like to see a less expensive, version with lower sound quality for voice-only public address applications--a decent mid-range is all that's needed. These have a paintable white finish. To paint them in the exact wall color without filling the tiny holes in the grill, I found a low-cost "Preval" paint kit at a Sherwin Williams store. It's essentially a standard aerosol paint can with propellant, but no paint. It has a screw base and a 6-oz glass jar in which you load your own paint, appropriately thinned. (Tell the store's experts the type of paint you're using, and they'll tell you how much to thin it and with what.)
