The ECM-100U is a unidirectional electret condenser microphone ideal for instrument recording in the studio and compatible with High-Resolution Audio. Equipped with a newly developed microphone capsule, the Sony ECM-100U delivers a flat and wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 50 kHz, capturing the original characteristics of instruments with extremely low distortion.
Features a newly developed small-diaphragm microphone capsule with unidirectional characteristics for authentic instrument sound reproduction. Its flat and wide frequency response provides excellent sound reproduction quality for High-Resolution Audio. The two-part metallic body structure, originally employed in the C-800G microphone, helps prevent acoustic vibration, resulting in low noise and clear sound.
A low-cut filter switch helps eliminate low-frequency noise and proximity effect, while the -10 dB pad switch adds headroom and minimizes distortion from transient peaks. These features make the Sony ECM-100U suitable for detailed instrument recording in studio environments.
