The MDR-MV1 is an open-back studio monitor headphone for creating spatial and stereo sound with a wide frequency range and a soundstage feel. Neutral and high-resolution acoustic characteristics reproduce all sound elements as they are, while the lightweight design provides excellent wearing comfort for creators during long studio sessions.
The Sony MDR-MV1 features a carefully tuned open-back acoustic structure that supports accurate reproduction of spatial information for mixing and mastering of both spatial and stereo sounds with High-Resolution Audio capability. Its uncolored frequency response is suitable for production, with a wide 5 Hz-80 kHz frequency range. The headphones reproduce each sound's position and movement accurately in 360 degrees to enable a spatial sound experience while virtualizing a speaker-based production environment.
The open-back acoustic structure reduces reflected sound inside the headphones, enabling more accurate sound field reproduction. Specially developed HD driver units provide low-distortion, high-compliance performance for low-range, high-range, and high-sensitivity playback. Detachable cables use a 6.3 mm stereo standard plug, with a bundled plug adaptor for connection to devices with 3.5 mm stereo mini jacks. The screw-type connection allows secure attachment and cable replacement.
