SoundTube SM82-EZ-II 8" 2-Way Surface Mount Outdoor Speaker
The SM82-EZ-II is an economical solution for integrators who need a surface-mount indoor or outdoor speaker option for music and paging applications. SM82-EZ-II incorporates a dedicated 8" polypropylene woofer and an offset 1" soft dome tweeter with waveguide to deliver superb intelligibility for background to foreground music and messaging (up to 106.0 dB max. SPL). SoundTube's proprietary BroadBeam Ring™ technology in all models ensures high intelligibility, even well off-axis. The SM82-EZ-II uses a 64W low-insertion loss transformer and a six-position tap switch with a transformer bypass position. Enclosures for the SM52-EZ are ported, with port plugs included for outdoor use; grilles and mounting hardware are powder-coated aluminum. Mounting for the SM82-EZ-II includes a proprietary, tool-free, low-profile Stealth™ bracket with a direct drive cam-wedge for stable and precise aiming up to 90° in one direction. Inputs are made via ceramic terminal strips, making these speakers suitable for European voice evacuation systems. A safety cable, wall mount bracket, conduit connector, and porthole plug are all included.
