The PC-580RVU is a high-performance 8-inch in-ceiling paging speaker engineered for commercial sound systems requiring reliable speech intelligibility, background music, and emergency communications. Featuring a built-in 25V/70V transformer with power taps up to 5 watts and an integrated center-grille volume adjustment control, it allows convenient audio level adjustments without removing the speaker from the ceiling. Its cost-effective design makes it ideal for everyday paging as well as mass notification and voice evacuation applications.
Designed for straightforward installation, the PC-580RVU fits standard ceiling speaker cutouts and features TOA's unique monocoque construction for improved structural strength and long-term reliability. The integrated transformer supports distributed audio systems, while the optional LB8-R1-AM tile bridge provides additional installation support in suspended ceilings.
When installed with the optional TOA HY-BC580U AM Back Can (sold separately), the PC-580RVU meets UL 2572, UL 1480 UUMW, ULC S541, and UL 2043 requirements for fire alarm signaling and air-handling spaces. It is an excellent choice for schools, offices, healthcare facilities, retail stores, hospitality venues, government buildings, and other commercial environments requiring dependable paging and life safety audio performance.
