The TS-918 conference expansion unit for TS-910 conference systems is designed to expand the capabilities of TOA's TS-910 Digital Conference System by providing the interface required to connect wired conference units. Connected to the TS-910 Central Unit via coaxial cable and to the TS-919B1 or TS-919B4 Bridge Unit using Category 5 cable, it enables flexible system expansion for conference rooms, council chambers, boardrooms, government facilities, educational institutions, and corporate meeting environments.
The unit incorporates intelligent conference management features, including Auto Mic-Off to help prevent microphones from remaining unintentionally active, a speaker restriction function for improved meeting control, and support for routing conference audio through an external sound reinforcement system so presentations and discussions can be clearly heard by larger audiences. With the optional rack mounting bracket, the unit installs in a standard 19-inch EIA equipment rack using a compact 1U form factor, making it ideal for professional AV installations.
