The eight Era 300 speakers provide flexible placement options for main dining floors, bar seating, entrance areas, and separate dining sections, while the Arc Ultra and dual Sub 4 configuration delivers enhanced audio performance in a designated lounge or television entertainment area. Restaurant operators can create a consistent musical atmosphere throughout the establishment or adjust music and volume levels independently for different spaces. This system is ideal for comfortable background music and immersive listening but is not intended to replace dedicated emergency notification systems, commercial paging systems, or professional live sound reinforcement equipment.
Installation Note: Each Sonos Arc Ultra, Era 300, and Sub 4 component requires a nearby AC power outlet and a reliable WiFi network for initial setup and synchronized multiroom playback. The two Sub 4 subwoofers can be connected to the Arc Ultra as a dual-subwoofer configuration and operate together within the same Sonos home theater room. The eight Era 300 speakers can be configured as separate listening areas or grouped for synchronized playback. For optimal sound distribution, Sonos recommends approximately 2 feet of overhead clearance and at least 8 inches of side clearance for Era 300 speakers. When mounted within 2 feet of a ceiling, the Era 300 should be installed upside down. Era 300 wall mounts require secure installation into wall studs. All components are intended for indoor use and should be kept away from direct water, excessive heat, cooking grease, and condensation. This system does not include a television, commercial music subscription, or paging microphone. Music played in restaurants requires appropriate commercial licensing, which can be obtained through Sonos Pro or another compatible licensed commercial music service.
