Alfatron ALF-WU4-8K 8K HDMI 2.1 4x1 Switcher and Scaler

The ALF-WU4-8K is an HDMI 2.1 switcher and scaler that routes four HDMI sources to a single HDMI display. With 48 Gbps FRL bandwidth and HDCP 2.3 support, it handles high-resolution video formats up to 8K 60 Hz 4:2:0, 8K 30 Hz 4:4:4, and 4K 120 Hz. It also supports HDR and provides switching times within three seconds for convenient source selection.

Built-in video scaling helps maintain compatibility with different display capabilities, including downscaling from 8K to 4K and from 4K to 1080p. EDID management is handled through a 5-pin DIP switch, allowing the unit to use the connected display’s EDID or internally stored EDID settings. De-embedded audio is available through balanced analog and optical outputs, providing options for routing audio to external sound systems.

The ALF-WU4-8K includes front-panel LED indicators for operating status and supports RS-232, IR, GUI, and TCP/IP control for integration into AV systems. CEC display power control is also provided through a backlit ON/OFF button. These features make it suitable for professional AV installations that require multiple HDMI sources, high-resolution video switching, audio de-embedding, and flexible system control.
