A Customer Story: Professional Conference Room Audio System for the Applied Research Laboratories of the University of Texas at Austin

Camille McLain, an IT professional at the research center, was tasked with ensuring the new conference room had a reliable and high-quality audio setup. The space was medium-sized but long, requiring a sound system that could evenly distribute audio while allowing for adjustable amplification. The final solution included a digital discussion system with sixteen conference room microphones and a control unit to facilitate clear communication, as well as a handheld wireless microphone system to accommodate various speaker needs. Two drop ceiling speaker arrays ensured even sound dispersion throughout the elongated room, while a rack mount mixer amplifier with Bluetooth provided multiple inputs and the flexibility to scale audio levels as needed.
Reflection
Following installation, the new conference room audio system was put to the test during a large conference. The ability to adjust sound levels for different types of meetings made managing the event effortless. Attendees frequently complimented the professional quality of the setup, reinforcing the success of the project.
