Pro Acoustics Fits A Beauty Salon With An Atlas Sound FAP40T Ceiling Loudspeaker System

Jim Doron has been working in electric technology and distribution since 1964. In May of this year, he started on a project with a beauty salon client that needed to update their sound system. The salon has dozens of stylists and when they are all working with clients, they create a good amount of noise. The salon building was also formerly a dentist’s office, so it has a lot of open spaces, hallways, and closed doors, causing some acoustic challenges.

He reached out to Mark, a sales engineer with Pro Acoustics, to come up with a plan for the sound system. He’d worked with Mark back in 2018 on another project and knew he’d be able to help. Mark suggested a sound system featuring Atlas Sound in-ceiling loudspeakers that would provide seamless high-performance background music throughout the salon.

The Atlas Sound FAP40T Strategy II Series 4" in-ceiling loudspeakers they chose are compact while providing high levels of audio performance. With high-intelligibility voice, music, and signal reproduction the FAP40T is perfect for commercial, industrial, and institutional applications. They have a unique tap selector switch design that allows for easy system tuning and a full selection of taps up to 16 watts as well as an 8-ohm transformer bypass setting for maximum system versatility.

According to Jim, the system was “cost-effective and perfectly suited for the somewhat eclectic layout of the salon”. The background music nicely mitigates the noise of the salon. Jim said the speakers are, “excellent. You can walk from one end of the salon to the other and the music level is constant without any dead spots or drop-offs."

In Jim’s words, working with Mark “couldn’t have gone better. Mark provided a tutorial on audio systems which helped sort through all the white noise on the Internet. The end results are amazing."
