Nathan: Hey everybody, welcome to another pro acoustics tech talk. I'm Nathan.

Coltin: And I'm Coltin.

Nathan: And we have an exciting one for you guys. One that I've been looking forward to. We are actually showcasing one of our new Pure Resonance Audio product lines. These are our new micro drivers, the S3 and the C3. So stick around to the end to check out info about these products. If you like what you see, what you hear here, like us down below, be sure and follow us and on with the show.

Coltin: On with the show.

Coltin: Alright, Nathan, this video has been long time coming. We have our products here, the S3 and the C3, basically ceiling and surface mount speakers from Pure Resonance Audio, us here. Kinda of dive into the guts and the glory, what's on the inside.

Coltin: What makes these products special? You know, of course, it's a part of our, microdriver line and we kind of want to make that clear what that actually means. I'm excited to hear all about this. And I'm sure you guys are too, after seeing these guys, they're sharp, so you want to take it away.

Nathan: All right, very good. Yeah, these are from our Pure Resonance Audio line that we manufacture in house. These are designed with once again micro drivers, so very small speakers, a 3-inch woofer inside the C3 and a 2.75-inch woofer inside of the S3. S3 sold in pairs, also comes with a mounting bracket, with a swivel. We've got another video to show you how to mount those as well as the manual. And then the C3 comes with this really cool quick-release collar to mount into your ceiling area. So ready to go into drop tile right off the bat. Basically you just unscrew this. It comes, not on the back of the speaker, drill your hole, pop the speaker in there and then tighten it back down on your tile. Ready to rock.

Nathan: And if you do have a hard deck or hard lid ceiling, you still can use this. You have to coordinate the installation a little bit better.

Coltin: Sure.

Nathan: But a 70-volt transformer on both. You also have a low impedance bypass on your C3. The name of the game here is small speakers. I don't know about you, but 9 times out of 10, I'm talking to somebody at a retail store or restaurant or something like that, that might have really sleek features and want a small speaker, not want something big. The average surface-mount speakers over double the height of this. Even a four-inch woofer, most of the time the speaker is going to be about this tall, and then you got a U bracket on the back.

Nathan: And so by the time you're done, you've got half a shoebox that you've got to put on your wall just to add music. With the S3, this can disappear a lot easier. The bracket mounts basically directly behind it. So you've got a very small footprint where you can tuck it out of the way to where you're adding nice ambient background music. But without a lot of unsightly speakers.

Nathan: Yeah. Same, same with the C3. The output that it's gonna give you rated at about 85 decibels at 1W at 1m. That's pretty comparable, if not a little bit better than some of the more traditional steel grille, paper cone, conventional speakers you see up in the ceiling at a gas station or libraries or things like that. Basically, the C3 is designed to kind of replace that with a little bit sleeker, smaller, sexier look that really blends in and kind of looks like an led light, really. So the idea is it's not gonna really call a lot of attention. It's not going to be an eyesore, but it's going to be small enough, crisp enough sounding that it really does great for background music.

Coltin: Perfect.

Nathan: Once again, background music is the name of the game. The 70-volt taps on these highest watt on the C3 is 5 Watts and you've got 10 Watts on the S3, not designed to get super loud. So if you're really gonna want to try and let it rip and crank things up, you might need a little bit bigger speaker. But if your hard and fast with background music only you need something relatively cost-effective, but it's still going to sound great and look really clean, uh, and be built to last, pair great with our lineup of 70-volt mixer amps, these speakers are the way to go. We've listened to them side by side. You can mix and match these if you need to. You know, some surface mount, some ceiling mount in other areas, no problem there at all. These are also perfect even if you do have a louder location, like a sports bar or restaurant that needs to get a little louder, these are perfect for the restrooms or smaller ambient areas, hallways, things like that, where you just need to add audio in those areas without adding a big old bread box or shoebox size speaker.

Coltin: Absolutely. Absolutely.

Nathan: I mean, to give you an idea looking at a pound and a half on the C3, you're looking at just over two pounds on the S3 or so. Both come with the Euroblock connectors and the hardware needed to Mount up with the S3. You probably want to look into anchors and things like that. We're going into the wall. As always, if you have questions about carpentry and things like that, consult a pro, follow the guidelines in the manual as much as possible, but we're really excited about these S3s shipping now as we're filming. C3 going to be here very soon. We have packages on our site. We have packages on Amazon, some of our other Pure Resonance Audio online dealers will also have some packages available. So definitely if you like what you see here, reach out to us. Uh, Take a look. That's the Pure Resonance Audio S3 sold in pairs, and then the C3 sold in singles, and also in four-packs when it comes out, to make install and planning nice and easy.
