This Bose Outdoor Sound System is great for tight budgets or smaller coverage areas. This system can be easily expanded to allow music to be played from any source, XM, Sirius Satellite, AM FM Radio, Digital Streaming from your Laptop or Computer or CD Player. It can also have the capability to page via microphone or telephone, route different sources to select areas (optional) and have zone volume controls.

The Bose® FreeSpace DS 40SE is the most versatile member of the DS loudspeaker family. It is a high-performance, full-range, surfacemount loudspeaker designed for foreground and background music and speech reproduction in a wide range of installed applications. The DS 40SE features high output and 125° x 125° coverage pattern with a frequency range down to 70 Hz. Bose FreeSpace Loudspeakers are high-performance, versatile loudspeakers designed for foreground music and speech reproduction in a wide range of small to medium-size commercial applications—both indoors and outdoors. The Bose FreeSpace® outdoor speaker systems are designed to blend into environments such as outdoor dining areas, resort pool areas, hotel atriums, themed parks and retail venues. The Bose® FreeSpace® DXA 2120 digital mixer/amplifier features a 6-in by 2-out design that provides signal processing, mixing, routing, paging and two-channel amplification for installed applications. It offers three versatile operating modes and is easily configured using the controls on the front panel. No external computer is required. The DXA 2120 digital mixer/amplifier can be used in both low- and high-impedance systems. Each of the two output channels delivers 120W at 4Ω or 100W for 70/100V applications. An auxiliary output provides a linelevel signal for system expansion.

The Bose® ControlCenter CC-2 zone controllers provide volume and A/B source selection for FreeSpace® and ControlSpace® products.

Bose® FreeSpace DS 40SE Loudspeakers:

• Six inputs: four mic/line inputs with choice of balanced Euroblock or unbalanced RCA connectors, one page input and one direct input24-volt DC backup power connection for added reliability and integration onto fire and evacuation systems
• Two powered outputs that can operate at high or low impedance: 2 x 120W at 4 ohms, 2 x 65W at 8 ohms, or 2 x 100W at 70/100V
• Three operating modes for greater flexibility in installed music or speech applications: Mixer Mode, Dual Mono Select Mode, and Stereo Select Mode
• Easy setup and control via onboard controls – no computer needed
