Cambridge Sound Masking Emitters Wide Dispersion Direct Field Speakers
for Sound Masking, Reducing Noise Distractions and Protecting Speech PrivacyThe Cambridge Sound Management Qt® emitters are the backbone of the Qt X sound masking system. These compact, direct-field loudspeakers feature wide dispersion with a nearly 180-degree coverage pattern, ensuring uniform sound distribution. Each emitter includes a 1.25" (3.17 cm) driver and is smaller than a coffee mug, making it an unobtrusive yet powerful solution for a variety of ceiling types and room configurations.
Qt emitters are designed to deliver four uncorrelated audio channels, effectively eliminating phasing issues and creating consistent, unobtrusive sound masking coverage. Each unit includes DIP switches to reduce volume by up to 9 dB in 3 dB increments, allowing for fine-tuning based on acoustic conditions within each zone.
All emitters are plenum-rated, ETL listed, and compliant with UL 2043, making them safe for installation in air-handling spaces. Every emitter comes standard with a slip-ring mounting bracket for quick and secure installation into ceiling tiles ranging from 0.5" to 1.5" (1.3 cm – 3.8 cm) thick.
Qt emitters support plug-and-play installation using pre-terminated, plenum-rated CAT-3 cables with industry-standard RJ-45 connectors. They are daisy-chained in a simple grid layout, typically spaced 10' x 10' (3 m x 3 m) for a standard 9' (2.75 m) ceiling height.
With their intelligent engineering, high performance, and easy configuration, Qt emitters are an integral part of one of the most effective and scalable sound masking systems available today.
