The Qt X 600 Sound Masking Control Module is a six-zone sound masking generator, controller, third-octave band equalizer, and amplifier designed for professional sound masking installations up to 72,000 square feet (6,690 m²). Compatible with both Qt Standard and Qt Active emitters, the Qt X 600 provides centralized control for up to six independent zones, allowing masking and auxiliary audio levels and equalization to be adjusted individually for each zone.
The Qt X 600 features two auxiliary mono audio inputs for distributing paging and background music, while four non-correlated masking audio sources per zone help deliver consistent sound masking and minimize comb filtering. Built-in auto ramping, event scheduling, and a real-time clock with NTP support enable automatic adjustment of masking levels throughout the day.
Designed for modern networked installations, the Qt X 600 includes dual Ethernet ports for separate media and control networks, browser-based configuration from any web-enabled device, and a third-party Ethernet control API. Multiple controllers can share audio across AVB media networks, while the Qt X 600D model supports Dante networking.
Additional features include front panel LCD controls, software-controlled front panel locking, contact closure integration with fire alarm systems, an included wall mounting bracket, and compliance with WELL sound masking licensing criteria. The Qt X 600 is UL Listed, CE marked, RoHS compliant, and manufactured in the USA. It also complies with the United States Trade Agreement Act (TAA), making it eligible for GSA Schedule contractors' sales bids for the U.S. federal government. The Qt X 600 is backed by Biamp's five-year warranty.
