Audix MG12 12" Miniature Gooseneck Condenser Cardioid Mic
The Audix MG12 is a compact yet powerful condenser microphone designed for professional applications such as podium speeches, presentations, meetings, and teleconferencing. Renowned for its exceptional clarity, superior sound quality, and user-friendly operation, the MG12 excels in accurately capturing and reproducing vocals from a comfortable distance.
This microphone boasts a uniformly controlled cardioid polar pattern, effectively isolating the speaker's voice from unwanted ambient noise in room or stage environments. For those requiring even tighter pattern control, the MG12 is also available in a hypercardioid polar pattern variant. With a generous frequency range spanning from 60 Hz to 19 kHz, the MG12 delivers natural, lifelike sound with remarkable transient response.
The MG12 gooseneck system is engineered with a sophisticated dual preamp circuitry. One circuit resides within the capsule housing, while the other is integrated into the XLR base. This internally balanced circuitry ensures a noise-free audio path, shielding against hum and interference. Furthermore, it provides protection against RF interference and spurious emissions from devices like cell phones and wireless GSM equipment.
Mounting options for the MG12 include the included flange mount (TM1218) or an optional base featuring an internal shockmount (SMT1218R). Additionally, these microphones can be used on a standard microphone stand or paired with the Audix ATS10 table stand, which includes a convenient lighted on-off switch.
Manufactured with meticulous precision and adherence to stringent quality standards, the MG12 boasts a machined brass body, a field-replaceable capsule, user-replaceable electronics, and a range of optional accessories. Operating on phantom power ranging from 18 to 52 Volts, the MG12 is available in a non-reflective black matte finish.
