About the System Components

SoundTube CM500i 5.25" In-Ceiling Speakers

Patented BroadBeam waveguide technology delivers a consistent dispersion pattern for maximum intelligibility and edge-to-edge coverage. Each speaker features a 5.25" polypropylene woofer and a 1" convex titanium tweeter with FerroFluid cooling, mounted to a cast-aluminum baffle and heat sink. The rapid-installation blind-mounting system accommodates a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. Additional features include a six-position selectable tap switch for 25V, 70V, and 100V applications, tool-free magnetic grille assembly, and WX-EnviroGuard magnetic grilles for enhanced environmental protection. UL 1480 and 2043 approved, with included tile bridge, conduit plate, Euroblock connector, and paint mask.

SoundTube SM500i-II-WX 5.25" High Power Surface Mount Speakers

These high-power surface mount speakers deliver long-throw performance and high SPL output using a 5.25" polypropylene woofer and a 1" horn-loaded convex titanium dome tweeter. With an average sensitivity of 87 dB, they provide strong output with reduced amplification requirements. Designed for indoor and outdoor applications, they include weatherized components, a six-position tap switch, and an aluminum grille with powder-coated finish. The tool-free SpeedLever captured ball mounting system offers precise vertical and horizontal aiming for flexible installation. CE approved and complete with ball mount, safety cable, Euroblock connector, and weather boot.

Crown CDi 1000 Power Amplifier

The Crown CDi 1000 is a rugged and lightweight power amplifier engineered for installed sound systems. It features a front-panel LCD for intuitive configuration and onboard DSP for loudspeaker processing. Additional capabilities include a universal switch-mode power supply, proportional-speed fan cooling, removable Phoenix-style inputs, and barrier strip outputs supporting low-Z and 70V/140V loads. Built-in short-circuit protection and comprehensive indicators ensure reliable, long-term performance.

Shure SCM810 8-Channel Automatic Mixer

This eight-channel automatic mixer uses Shure IntelliMix technology to activate only microphones currently in use, greatly reducing unwanted noise from open mics. Designed for installed sound, the SCM810 includes adjustable per-channel EQ, 48V phantom power, active balanced mic or line-level inputs, logic control for microphone activation, and linking capacity for up to 400 microphones. Its highly RF-resistant chassis ensures dependable operation in demanding environments.

This system includes an SLXD2 handheld transmitter with an SM58 microphone capsule and an SLXD1 bodypack paired with a WL185M lavalier microphone. DBX DriveRack PA2 Loudspeaker Management System
