The U240:1M is a professional-grade 240W mixer amplifier designed to deliver reliable performance and clear audio for medium-sized commercial installations. It is well suited for background music and voice announcements in restaurants, retail stores, schools, houses of worship, museums, galleries, transportation terminals, conference centers, and other professional sound reinforcement environments. The amplifier uses Class-D amplification technology for energy-efficient operation and supports 70V, 100V, 4Ω, and 8Ω speaker systems for flexible system design.
With its compact half-rack, 1RU form factor, the U240:1M provides a space-efficient solution for installations where rack space is limited. Included mounting brackets support individual rack mounting, side-by-side rack mounting with a second unit, tabletop placement, or under-table installation. Two U240:1M units can be mounted side by side in a single rack space, providing increased output and channel capacity while optimizing available installation space. The amplifier also features phantom power for microphone inputs, VOX ducking for voice priority, remote power ON/OFF through contact closure, and dedicated bass and treble controls.
The U240:1M provides 120 Hz high-pass filtering for application-specific audio shaping and includes a 100V and line-level emergency input with adjustable level selection for priority announcements. Overload and short-circuit protection, along with a limiter, help protect the amplifier and connected loudspeakers from excessive signal levels. A temperature-controlled fan provides cooling while minimizing acoustic noise at lower output levels. Front-panel controls provide convenient adjustment of output gain, individual input gain, bass, and treble settings.
