The Listen Technologies LT-803-072-01-D stationary 3-channel 72 MHz RF transmitter is designed for assistive listening applications. It includes an LA-465 Dante adapter for Dante network audio connectivity, universal analog inputs for a wide range of audio sources, and a Look & Listen LCD display for channel, lock, and RF power information.

Description

Listen Technologies LT-803-072-01-D 3-Channel RF Assistive Listening Transmitter with Dante Adapter (72 MHz)

The LT-803-072-01-D is a stationary three-channel RF transmitter designed to deliver clear, reliable assistive listening audio in houses of worship, theaters, classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and other commercial and public venues. Operating in the 72 MHz RF band, the transmitter offers three selectable wideband channels: A (72.100 MHz), E (72.900 MHz), and H (75.900 MHz), allowing installers to select an appropriate frequency for their environment. The transmitter broadcasts on one selected channel at a time and supports transmission distances of up to 1,000 feet (305 meters) under line-of-sight conditions with a compatible remote antenna. Designed for flexible integration with professional audio systems, the LT-803 features balanced microphone/line and unbalanced RCA audio inputs to accommodate mixers, microphones, media players, and other audio sources.

This configuration includes the Listen Technologies LA-465 Dante 1-Channel Output XLR Adapter, enabling audio from a Dante network to be delivered to the transmitter through an analog XLR connection. The LA-465 receives digital network audio and converts it to an analog line-level signal, which the LT-803 transmits over FM radio frequencies to compatible assistive listening receivers. The adapter requires power from a PoE-enabled network switch or IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE injector. This combination provides a convenient solution for facilities using Dante-enabled digital audio networks while maintaining compatibility with traditional 72 MHz RF assistive listening systems.

Engineered for straightforward installation and operation, the LT-803 features Listen Technologies' Look & Listen LCD display, providing immediate information about the selected channel, channel lock status, and RF power level. Adjustable quarter, half, and full RF output power settings allow the transmission level to be configured for different installation requirements. Two audio inputs with adjustable levels support source mixing, while built-in audio processing includes automatic gain control, adjustable compression, limiting, and contour equalization for improved audio management. A front-panel headphone output enables convenient monitoring, while input level indicators, a test tone, and channel lock functionality simplify setup and daily operation. The compact half-rack design supports optional rack mounting using the separately available LA-326 Universal Rack Mounting Kit.

Installation Note: A compatible 72 MHz antenna and RF assistive listening receivers are required for a complete system and are sold separately. The included LA-465 Dante adapter requires a compatible PoE network connection. The LT-803 transmits one selected RF channel at a time and does not broadcast three separate audio programs simultaneously. Actual transmission range depends on antenna selection, placement, environmental conditions, and system configuration.
