Description

Listen Tech LT-803-072-P1 3-Channel RF Assistive Listening Transmitter Package

The LT-803-072-P1 is a stationary 3-channel RF assistive listening transmitter package designed to provide clear, reliable audio for houses of worship, theaters, classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and other public venues. This package includes the LT-803-072 72 MHz RF transmitter, LA-106 telescoping top-mounted antenna, and LA-304 Assistive Listening Notification Signage Kit, providing essential components for establishing an assistive listening system. Designed to improve audio accessibility for listeners with hearing difficulties, the transmitter delivers audio directly to compatible 72 MHz RF receivers while the included signage helps notify visitors that assistive listening is available.

Operating in the 72 MHz RF band, the LT-803-072 provides three selectable wideband channels: A (72.100 MHz), E (72.900 MHz), and H (75.900 MHz). Installers can select an appropriate frequency to accommodate their environment and minimize potential interference. The transmitter broadcasts on one selected channel at a time, delivering FM audio to compatible receivers tuned to the same frequency. The included LA-106 telescoping antenna provides transmission coverage of up to 650 feet (198 meters) under suitable conditions. For applications requiring greater coverage, optional compatible remote antennas can extend the system's transmission range up to 1,000 feet (305 meters) under line-of-sight conditions.

Designed for integration with professional audio systems, the LT-803 features a balanced XLR/1/4" combo microphone/line input and dual unbalanced RCA inputs for connecting microphones, mixers, media players, and other audio sources. Two mixing audio inputs with adjustable levels provide flexibility when combining audio signals, while a mixed RCA output supports additional audio connections. The built-in audio processor incorporates automatic gain control, limiting, and adjustable compression to help maintain consistent audio levels for speech and music. Adjustable contour equalization provides additional control over high-frequency audio reproduction.

The transmitter includes Listen Technologies' Look & Listen LCD display, providing immediate visual feedback for the selected channel, channel lock status, and RF transmission power. Quarter, half, and full RF output power settings allow installers to adjust transmission strength according to the installation requirements. Front-panel audio level indicators, a built-in test tone, and adjustable headphone monitoring simplify system setup, operation, and troubleshooting. Channel lock functionality helps prevent accidental frequency changes, while the compact half-rack design supports rack installation using the optional LA-326 Universal Rack Mounting Kit.

The included LA-106 telescoping top-mounted antenna attaches directly to the transmitter and features an extendable design for improved RF coverage. When fully extended, the antenna requires approximately 40 inches of vertical clearance. The LA-304 Assistive Listening Notification Signage Kit includes a 7" x 10" hard plaque and a 7" x 10" static-cling window sticker, allowing facilities to clearly identify the availability of assistive listening equipment. The included power supply, line cord, and quick reference card provide the essentials for transmitter setup.

Installation Note: Compatible 72 MHz RF assistive listening receivers are required and sold separately. The included LA-106 antenna provides up to 650 feet of transmission range under suitable conditions, while the manufacturer's 1,000-foot maximum range requires a compatible remote antenna. Actual coverage varies with antenna placement, installation conditions, and interference. For rack-mounted installations using the optional LA-326 rack-mounting kit, a compatible rack-mount antenna kit, such as the LA-125, is required because the included LA-106 antenna is not compatible with the LA-326 kit. The transmitter broadcasts on one selected RF channel at a time.
