Lowell SM805A 8-Inch Dual Cone 12W Sound Masking Speaker

The SM805A is a professional-grade 8" dual cone 12W sound masking speaker engineered to enhance speech privacy and acoustic comfort in open offices and commercial environments. It produces uniform ambient sound, reducing speech intelligibility and distractions to improve concentration and productivity.

Designed for upward sound dispersion, the SM805A includes an 8" dual cone driver with a factory-wired 70V 4W transformer featuring selectable power taps at 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 watts. The externally accessible rotary switch makes it easy to adjust tap settings during system balancing. Its 325 cu in steel enclosure and grille are finished in black powder epoxy for long-term durability and professional appearance.

The SM805A comes ready to install, featuring pre-mounted wire hangers, a 4-foot chain, and S-hooks for stable suspension from structural decks in plenum spaces. Externally accessible leads are routed through a strain relief clamp on a single-gang handibox cover with a 1/2" Romex connector for secure wiring.
