The LA880i-II line array speaker in black is an advanced 3-way LAPS (Line Array-Point Source) loudspeaker engineered for both near-field clarity and extended far-field coverage. Unlike typical column line arrays, the LA880i-II employs frequency tapering of low and mid frequency bands to maintain a consistent ratio of array height to radiated wavelength. This ensures a stable vertical beamwidth that outperforms many single-box line arrays in professional audio environments.
Featuring eight 4.5-inch woofers, eight 2-inch midrange drivers, and a 2.5-inch planar magnet (ribbon) high-frequency driver, the LA880i-II delivers smooth, detailed high frequencies and exceptional coverage. Its passive, fixed-length column design makes it ideal for scalable commercial audio installations in retail, hospitality, education, and other venues where a sleek black finish is preferred for unobtrusive integration.
The enclosure is constructed from durable MDF and aluminum with a powder-coated, paintable steel grille, allowing the black finish to blend seamlessly into any interior. Flexible mounting options include surface, pole, ceiling, or flown installations (mounting accessories sold separately). Connection is fast and easy using Euroblock and SpeakON (Neutrik NL4) connectors. Included accessories are a safety cable mounting plate, mounting bolts, Euroblock connector, and safety cable.
