SoundTube SM500i-II-WX 5.25" Extreme Weather Outdoor Surface Mount Speaker
SoundTube’s WX Weather Guard technology features a dual-layer hydrophobic material integrated into the speaker grille, protecting the drivers and internal electronics from even the harshest weather conditions. BroadBeam® waveguide technology ensures consistent dispersion up to 10 kHz, maximizing coverage per speaker. The system includes a 5.25-inch (133 mm) polypropylene woofer and a 1-inch (25 mm) convex titanium tweeter with FerroFluid™ cooling for reliable, high-quality performance.
With an average sensitivity of 86.0 dB, the speaker delivers strong output while minimizing amplification requirements. Built for outdoor durability, it includes stainless steel screws and a weather-resistant aluminum grille with a powder-coat finish.
A six-position tap switch provides easy access for 25-, 70.7-, and 100-volt applications, including a transformer bypass option. The patented ZeroReflection™ enclosure enhances sound reproduction and cabinet rigidity. The included SM500i-II-WX Stealth™ bracket system allows vertical and horizontal pivoting for flexible positioning, and the low-profile design keeps the speaker close to the wall. UL 1480 (UEAY) certification planned.
