The iW4 DC deploys Tannoy's smallest Dual Concentric driver, just 4.00" (100 mm) to create an ultra-compact, high fidelity in wall loudspeaker. Capable of being fitted into the tightest of spaces the iW 4DC is the ideal choice for rooms where wall-space is at a premium. The driver uses the latest incarnation of Tannoy's Dual Concentric technology offering accurate, point source articulation, perfectly conical distribution pattern and extended frequency response to over 50kHz.
The driver mates its 4.00" (100 mm) multifiber pulp cone, chosen for its lightness and stiffness, with Tannoy's 19mm titanium dome tweeter set into the throat of the min-bass cone. The result is a smooth frequency response across the audio band, the ability to resolve the finest of detail and an engaging dynamic sound with music. Despite its compact dimension the iW 4DC is capable of handling program material input up to 120Watts with 240Watt peaks, giving a solid 106dB SPL average and 112dB peaks as required.
The iW 4DC uses four of Tannoy's innovative self-aligning clamps, designed to allow an extremely secure fit into the wall cavity without the risk of distorting the speaker baffle. Supplied with comprehensive mounting, connection and commissioning information including a cut-out template, the iW 4DC is an all-round in-wall speaker that offers unrivaled convenience for the installer and great sound for the end user.
