The Definition Install iW63 DC is a flush fitting in-wall sealed cabinet loudspeaker of exceptional acoustic performance. Accurate, articulate and detailed, the iW63 DC uses Tannoy’s highly regarded Dual Concentric driver technology and twin 165 mm (6.50”) auxiliary bass drivers to deliver a thrillingly engaging sound. Ideal for use as rear channel speakers in surround sound systems that major on clarity and imaging, the iW63DC is equally at home in width, height or overhead channel positions.
The high-power, high sensitivity configuration means the iW63 DC can handle 200Watt program material and 400Watt peaks, comfortably producing over 110dB for long periods if required. The 165 mm (6.50”) Dual Concentric driver offers exceptional clarity and resolution and Wideband frequency response to over 40kHz. The auxiliary bass drivers deliver additional punch and power, allowing the iW63 DC to reach deep bass notes down to 54Hz.
The 11.5 litre iW63 DC cabinet is designed to fit standard 400mm (14.00”) joist spacing and is only 94mm deep. It comes supplied with an innovative isolating mounting system, comprising four rubber turrets on sliding brackets, to make installation simple and decouple the speaker from the building structure. This significantly reduces sound energy transfer into other rooms in the building and further improves clarity and intelligibility at the listening position.
An optional pre-install mounting frame is available to further simplify installation. Finished in a durable textured black pain finish the iW63 DC comes supplied with a flush-fitting white paintable metal grille complete with acoustically transparent foam backing for visually critical positions.
