The multi-purpose Tascam CD-A580 V2 plays from cassette, CD, or USB flash media. It also supports recording to cassette and USB, making it easy to archive cassette tapes to USB as MP3 files.

Tascam CD-A580 V2 Cassette USB CD Player and Recorder

The Tascam CD-A580 V2 plays audio from cassette, CD, or USB flash media, and also allows recording to both cassette and USB. Cassette tapes can be conveniently archived as MP3 files to a connected USB drive.

This multi-function unit combines a cassette deck, CD player, and USB flash drive recorder/player into one 3U rack-mountable chassis—ideal for professional installations and commercial applications. In addition to playback support for the most widely used formats, it enables simple cassette-to-USB dubbing for efficient archival and media transfer.

Features

Cassette Deck:

  • One-way IC logic transport control enables recording and playback
  • Dub from CD and USB flash drive, or record from LINE inputs
  • +/-10% pitch control
  • Supported cassette tape types:
    • Playback: Normal (TYPE I), Chrome (TYPE II), Metal (TYPE IV)
    • Recording: Normal (TYPE I), Chrome (TYPE II)
  • Recommended tape length: 10 minutes to 90 minutes

CD Player:

  • Playback of audio CDs, CD-R/RW discs, and data CDs containing MP3 files
  • Repeat playback modes: Single, All, and Program

USB Flash Drive Recorder/Player:

  • Record MP3 files (128 kbps, 44.1 kHz) from CD, cassette, or line input
  • Playback of MP3 files (up to 320 kbps)
  • Shuffle and program playback supported
  • Folder repeat playback
  • Manual file division (TAPE/LINE)

General:

  • Headphone jack with level control
  • Infrared remote control included
