TOA WTU-4800-AM Frequency-Agile UHF Wireless Tuner Module
The WTU-4800-AM is a professional-grade frequency-agile single-channel UHF wireless tuner module designed to expand compatible TOA wireless receiver systems with dependable, high-quality audio performance. Operating in the M Band, it is ideal for commercial installations that require flexible frequency management, including houses of worship, educational facilities, conference centers, auditoriums, and other installed sound applications. Its compact plug-in design allows for seamless integration with compatible TOA receivers such as the WT-4820 dual-channel receiver.
Engineered for reliable wireless reception, the module utilizes PLL-synthesized frequency control and a double superheterodyne diversity receiver to deliver excellent RF stability and clear audio reproduction. With 16 selectable intermodulation-free channels, it simplifies frequency coordination in multi-channel wireless systems while minimizing interference between adjacent transmitters. The built-in space diversity reception continuously selects the strongest antenna signal to maintain stable performance, even in challenging RF environments.
To ensure consistent audio quality, the WTU-4800-AM incorporates a compressor-expander noise reduction circuit that minimizes the effects of ambient RF noise, along with a noise squelch system that suppresses unwanted signals when no transmitter is active. The module also provides phantom power for remote antennas, supporting enhanced system coverage in larger installations.
