The upcoming Ri8-D input rack use the same Dante audio network protocol as the CL series, providing new options for flexible system design and implementation.While maintaining the excellent sound quality of the CL series consoles as well as the Rio3224-D and Rio1608-D I/O racks, the Ri8-D is offered as space-saving 1U size rack mount units that allow greater freedom for installation and I/O distribution.
Our goal in developing the Ri8-D was to deliver the same level of sound quality as the CL Series, with even greater system setup and installation flexibility with Dante,“ explains Kazunori Kobayashi, general manager of the Yamaha Corporation pro audio division.
Its sound quality and system layout flexibility were enhanced in the CL series by separating I/O hardware from the mixing console itself. The Ri8-D take that freedom a step further, from “I/O racks where you need them” to “the number of inputs and outputs you need, wherever you need them”.
