SONY C-800GPAC1 Studio Tube Condenser Microphone with AC-MC800G Power Supply
The C-800GPAC1 Studio Tube Condenser Microphone is designed for high-quality sound and is suitable for vocal recording in studios and film post-production houses. The Sony C-800GPAC1 features a large diaphragm capsule, high sensitivity of -32 dB/Pa, low noise and low distortion due to its built-in cooling system, and electronically selectable directivity, either omnidirectional or unidirectional.
The use of a rigorously selected 6AU6A vacuum tube gives this microphone its superb sonic quality, particularly at high frequencies and with exceptionally low noise levels. With a wide dynamic range and the ability to resolve subtle sound detail, the sonic quality is expressed as rich, natural, and sensitive, with an outstanding response to fast transients.
The C-800G is particularly suitable for critical vocal recording in recording studios and movie and video post-production houses, where sound clarity and nuance are essential. Its two-part body construction helps prevent acoustic vibration from reaching the microphone capsule, resulting in clarity of reproduction.
The built-in thermo-electric cooling system employs a semiconductor device, heat pipe, and heat sink, which contribute to the microphone's low noise and low distortion characteristics. With a high sensitivity of -32 dB/Pa, the microphone can capture subtle nuances at high frequencies with low noise levels and minimal distortion. Electronically selectable directivity provides either omnidirectional or unidirectional pickup for flexibility and control over pickup angle.
