The Tannoy CMS 601 is a full bandwidth; high power and high sensitivity ceiling monitor system utilizing Tannoy’s ICT driver technology for high performance and exceptional longevity. The CMS 601 features a 165 mm (6.50”) mineral loaded polypropylene cone mid-bass cone and a 19mm (0.75”) aluminum dome HF unit with Inductive Coupling Technology (ICT). This full-range loudspeaker is ideally suited to high-level music and speech applications requiring exceptional sonic quality with uncompromised reliability.

The point source configuration of the Tannoy ICT drivers mid-bass and tweeter sections ensures a wide and controlled dispersion for optimum coverage. The use of a wireless electromagnetic tweeter means that no crossover is required in the design, improving long-term reliability. The inclusion of a premium quality Tannoy 60Watt low insertion loss multi-tap transformer, for distributed-line operation, provides high system sensitivity, wide bandwidth and exceptional dynamic range.

With a frequency range of 51Hz-24kHz, continuous program power capacity of 100Watts and sensitivity of 91dB/Watt, the CMS 601 is ideal for medium to large sized rooms or installations requiring large arrays of in-ceiling speakers to cover a large area. The CMS 601 is available as Blind Mount and Pre-Install variant without transformer, with or without an integrated zinc-plated steel back can, and includes features such as recessed termination box, removable locking connector with screw terminals and a strain relief clamp for use with plenum rated cable or conduit. Spring loaded self-aligning clamps make for quick and easy installation, while all models are supplied with two tile support rails and one C-ring.
