Yamaha VXC2P 2.5-Inch Dante PoE+ Powered Ceiling Speaker
The VXC2P is a Dante PoE-powered ceiling speaker designed as part of the Yamaha ADECIA Solution. It provides simple installation and seamless connectivity with any Dante output device, while a single PoE+ network cable avoids complex wiring and enables audio control via Dante. The full-range, bass-reflex powered speaker provides a 160° horizontal directivity angle for a large coverage area.
With audio distributed via a Dante network and PoE power supplied from a PoE-compliant L2 switch, the speaker system can be constructed as a network, allowing existing IT infrastructure to be effectively utilized. Simple wiring via LAN cables, easy installation, and no need for a power amp contribute to flexible installation without interfering with the design of the conference room. When using an IEEE 802.3at-compliant PoE+ power supply device, the VXC2P has a 15W continuous power rating, while an IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE power supply device provides a 6W continuous power rating.
As a speaker for the ADECIA Solution, the VXC2P can be used for applications not covered by the existing VXL1-16P network speaker. Ceiling speakers can be convenient for divided or combined room integration, while individual speaker volume, gain, and EQ adjustments provide flexible sound control. The VXC2P can also be combined with ceiling microphones and PoE switches for Voice Lift applications, allowing speech to be heard at a natural volume in rooms where the talker's voice is difficult to reach.
