The ALX-48D-B digitally steerable powered column array loudspeaker delivers exceptional speech intelligibility and precise coverage in the most acoustically difficult environments. Designed for large-scale venues such as major transportation hubs, expansive houses of worship, airport concourses, and high-ceilinged public spaces, it targets sound directly to the audience while minimizing reflections from surrounding hard surfaces.

Equipped with forty-eight 4" neodymium full-range drivers, each paired with its own Class-D amplifier and dedicated DSP channel, the ALX-48D-B offers highly granular vertical beam control, adjustable acoustic center positioning, and split-beam capability for complex, multi-zone coverage. With a wide 120° horizontal dispersion and digitally adjustable vertical coverage from 5° to 40°, it ensures even sound distribution and unmatched clarity in the largest, most reverberant spaces.

Advanced onboard DSP provides FIR/IIR filtering, EQ, limiting, gain, and delay, along with multi-beam operation for complex venue needs. Integrated Dante and AES67 network audio inputs, plus analog and AES/EBU options, eliminate the need for external interfaces. The system's fully integrated control software enables real-time configuration, telemetry, and beam optimization, while GLOBALCOM GCK compatibility ensures seamless integration for paging, background music, and emergency announcements.

Housed in a slim, black aluminum enclosure, the ALX-48D-B blends unobtrusively into both contemporary and historically sensitive architecture. An IP64-rated weather-resistant version is also available for outdoor applications.
